    3 out of 5 stars Eh ..   September 3, 2010
    Wonho Shin (Austin, TX)
We bought this iPod dock/speakers mainly because it was cheap. And I guess you do get what you pay for. The sound quality is not great, when the speakers are turned on, and no music playing, there is a slight buzz/hum that it makes. It's just an average, iPod dock/speaker, probably should have spent a little more money and bought a name brand product.

4 out of 5 stars Great sound for the price   September 2, 2010
    A. Clark (California)
I own an ipod touch 3g and wanted a speaker that I could take with me to the kitchen to listen to audiobooks when I'm doing the dishes. This is perfect for that. The sound is great for the size of the speakers, it can either run off of AA batteries or a power cord, and when it's plugged in it charges my ipod. I love it. The only thing that I can find wrong with it is even though it comes with a dock adapter it's a little difficult to actually get my ipod connected. I usually have to fuss with it for a few seconds before it'll fully connect. Even with the connection issues I still love the speaker and would recommend it to friends.

5 out of 5 stars Using with iPhone4 - Great bang for buck...except for cellular data radio interference, I'm totally happy.   September 1, 2010

I'm using these with my new iPhone 4 in my office where they are not played too loud. I feel they are the best speakers that you can get for such a low price. Even at the low price, you're not giving up much in sound quality. When reading my single con below, keep in mind that these are not listed by the manufacturer as iPhone speakers but rather as iPod speakers. Quick Overview of main pros and cons:

    Pros:
They look good (the iPhone 4's size balances well with the overall speaker dock size)
With the proper adapter inserted, they allow me to easily dock the iPhone 4 even with it's rubber bumper case on it. When inserted into the dock, the iPhone is kinda tucked away in the little recessed area. This is better than other devices that essentially have the iPhone standing alone and exposed and easily bumped and damaged.
I love being able to use it with AC or battery. I've actually ordered a second unit for home and can see myself moving it from room to room and using the battery feature. The AC feature lets it readily charge the iPhone too.
Althouhg I play it on a lower volume setting at work, it does a reasonably well job at playing louder. It's certainly loud and clear enough for me to use in my home's kitchen, bedroom, porch, or living room. No, I don't believe it has anywhere the volume of a big stereo or boombox...but it's not a tiny tinny sounding unit either.
Control bottons are handily located and work well.
Small compact size is perfect for office use.
Piano black finish perfectly matches the iPhone 4 black finish.

    Cons:
Apparently the unit is not shielded very well. If you have your iPhone's cellular data turned on while in the unit, it will pop and crack like crazy when the cellular data is sending/receiving. Additionally, if someone else has a cell phone running cellular data anywaher near the unit (as opposed to directly connected to the unit) you'll still likely pick up the static from the other phone as it communicates cellular data. However, I use the WiFi connection at home and at work and tunr off the cellular data until I'm actually traveling with the iPhone. As such, this is a moot factor for me....still it's something for you to keep in mind if you're going to be using it with an iPhone.

3 out of 5 stars Annoying buzzing sound!!   August 31, 2010
    Rasec (Chicago)
This product looks good and sound good for its price. It served the purpose, BUT! there's this annoying buzzing sound which i think is comming from wi-fi or cell signal. I notice it as soon as i tried with my itouch. The buzzing sound went away after turning off my wi-fi on my itouch. Weird...
i would rate this a five if it wasent from the annoying sound.
    Thanks

2 out of 5 stars If only.   August 29, 2010
    Di's opinion
This would have been a great value if only it had not been staticy. Hard to enjoy music with pulses of static interferring.
